A once common apple, it is known to have originated in Connecticut, USA in the early 1800s as it is documented as being sold by many southern USA nurseries in 1832.
It has a very sweet taste, and is highly aromatic.
NOTE: I have yet to try this apple directly, having only grafted it in 2021, and so have relied on others for information related to this variety.
